Terms & Conditions

1. Cook & Dine Gathering

Cook & Dine is a “gathering” concept, organized by Anchor Relocation Services GmbH resp. Simone Geisser (Zurich) and/or her support staff. These Terms & Conditions govern the relationship between participants (every person taking part is considered a contractual partner) and the event organizer.

2. Eligibility Requirements

The contract between the participant and the organizer is only valid if ALL details of the contact form on the website (cookdine.ch) are submitted, the organizer sent a confirmation email and the payment from the participant has been received. Applications without kitchen can only be considered if there are enough participants providing a kitchen. The organizer reserves the right to exclude participants from a Cook & Dine Gathering event without stating reasons.

3. Object of Agreement

The organizer provides the following services:

•Procuration of a cooking buddy
•Data management and and preparation of a schedule
•Contact person at the Event/Gathering

3.1. Procuration of a cooking buddy

About 5 days before the event the organizer will send an email with first name and email address to the respective cooking buddies.

Annotation / Special Requests:

The organizer will try and accommodate special requests stated on the application form. The requests have no legal claim and will not result in a reduction of the participation fee.

Should a participant request a change in cooking buddy or preparation of a different course, this has to be communicated on the day the schedule has been announced. This has to be sent to the organizer at hello(at)cookdine(dot)ch via email. There is no right to a change of cooking buddy, preparation of a different course or any other changes. A fee reduction is not possible.

3.2. Preparing a Schedule

Approximately 3 to 4 days before the Cook & Dine Gathering all participants will receive the schedule via email in the form of an A4 PDF attachment, which contains the following information:

a) All addresses where cooking and eating will take place and who is responsible for which of the 3 courses (Entrée, Main or Dessert).

b) The First name of all participants. If several participants carry the same name the initial of the surname will be added.

c) Address and mobile phone number of the participants providing a kitchen.

d) time-line of the evening.

e) Mobile phone number of the Cook & Dine organizer.

3.3. Contact Person at the Cook & Dine Gathering

The mobile phone number of the organizer will be published and is on the event document sent to all the participants.

4. Attendance Fee

The fee for each Cook & Dine Gathering will be advertised on cookdine.ch and is per person in Swiss Francs. Participants who provide a kitchen will receive a better rate.

The organizer provides the services outlined in point 3 of the Terms & Conditions. There are no additional claims for benefits from either contracting party. Important; cost for ingredients and drinks are is not included in the participation fee.

5. Payment Terms

The participation fee is payable immediately the bank details have been sent via email. If the fee has not been paid a participation is not possible.

6. Rules of Cancellation

6.1. The application is considered a contract. If a participant cannot attend a Cook & Dine Gathering due to crucial circumstances the organizer has to be informed immediately.

6.2. Cancellations are accepted the latest a week before the Cook & Dine Gathering (=Saturday 12:00pm). After this cooking buddies will be assigned and the schedule will be created.

If the cancellation notice arrives before the cancellation deadline the participant has the option of transferring the booking to another event date or he/she can transfer it to a suitable participant.

6.3. There is no refund. If a cancellation is late the participant can provide another suitable participant to take part in the event. A transfer to a different event in this case is not possible.

6.4. In any case a refund of the event fee is generally not possible. If a refund is made as a gesture of goodwill a CHF 10.00 administration fee will be deducted.

7. Cancellation by the Organizer

Should the Cook & Dine Gathering be cancelled or postponed due to lack of applications the applicants have the right to book another event within the next 6 months. There is no refund of the participation fee.

8. Change of Schedule

If we receive a lot of cancellations or applications on short notice, it is possible that there are changes to the schedule up to 2-3 days before the Gathering. It can affect the cooking buddy assignment or the assigned course. The affected participants will be informed as quickly as possible.

9. Insurance / Liability exclusion

The dinner preparation and agreeability of the food is responsibility of the participants. Participation at your own risk!

Insurance is each participant’s own concern. The organizer excludes any liability.

10. Privacy Protection

The organizer handles all data based on the regulations of the Data protection act. Participants are prohibited from passing on personal details to third parties or use them for their own personal gain.

11. Place of Jurisdiction and applicable law

Swiss legislation is applicable and place of jurisdiction is Zurich.
